This year, Turkey received certificates for 577 beaches with the international environmental award "Blue Flag", which allowed it to take 3rd place in the world in this indicator.

The leader in the number of Blue Flag beaches remains the Antalya region, with 233 beaches. Alanya, known for its clean and well-maintained beaches, also made a significant contribution to this figure.

Another important event was the opening of a new marina in Gazipaşa, which will expand the opportunities for yacht tourism.

After Antalya, the leaders in the list of Blue Flags are:

• Muğla - 110 beaches
• İzmir - 64
• Balıkesir - 48
• Aydın - 39
• Samsun - 16
• Mersin and Çanakkale - 12 beaches each
• Beaches in the provinces of Ordu, Sakarya, Adana and Düzce also received awards.
