Work visa in Turkey 2024
From January 1, 2024, Turkey has updated the amount of fees for issuing work visas and related documents.
Registration cost:
- Work permit (up to 1 year) – 7.345 TL (approximately $243)
- Urgent work permit (up to 2 years) – 14.690 TL ($486)
- Unlimited work permit – 73,480 TL ($2,429)
- Application fee – 565 TL ($18)
Key points related to work:
- A residence permit does not give the right to work! This right is granted only by citizenship or work permit. By getting a job “with a residence permit,” you are breaking the law and working illegally (threaten with fines and deportation).
- To obtain the right to work, you need to obtain a work permit: documents for a visa are submitted by a potential employer. He, as a rule, pays for paperwork. You can prepare documents for yourself when opening your own business.
- It will only be possible to come to Turkey, quickly negotiate a job and wait for a visa if the applicant has a residence permit. The future employee submits documents on the territory of his country, having received an invitation to work from the company.
The main market for foreign labor in Turkey is the former countries of the USSR (Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, etc.). Many Turkish entrepreneurs need employees who speak Russian well. Seasonal workers are in demand: animators, guides, dancers, models, English teachers for the summer. Due to the rapid development of the real estate market, the country requires builders, realtors, engineers and designers. There is also a strong demand for doctors, teachers, and IT workers.
